We tend to bring you a lot of neo-soul here at If It's Too Loud..., but no one is doing it quite like The Freedom Affair. The Kansas City band's latest single, "Don't You Wanna Love Me," is pure classic and vintage soul. If it wasn't for its modern production, this new song sounds like it could have been from fifty or sixty years ago. It's a smooth as silk love song, with some modern R&B vocals towards the end. Everything about "Don't You Wanna Love Me" is going to blow your mind. Even if you don't typically enjoy soul, this one is well worth your time. Something about The Freedom Affair is completely irresistible.
Singer Seyko Groves says of the band's new single:
“When the sun is out and you’re ready to flirt, put this on your playlist.”
You can listen to "Don't You Wanna Love Me" below. The Freedom Affair's self-titled second album is due out May 9, and is available for pre-order through Bandcamp. For more on The Freedom Affair, check out the band's website.
