Quitters - "When the Sun Goes Down"
Hailing from Montpelier, France, Quitters' latest single blends a bunch of punk subgenres into one cohesive sound. "When the Sun Goes Down" starts off with a burst of guitar fuzz, and then drums kick in and we're just off. It's a fast and noisy song that almost sounds like if noise punk went mainstream. But as the song goes on, it starts getting a little more melodic. It's kind of a cross between melodic hardcore and pop punk. There are even some 1960's style vocal harmonies. Quitters are just wildly throwing this song from one sound to another seemlessly. It's just a mix of noise and melody and heavy and tuneful. You get fuzzy guitars, shout along choruses, and vocal harmonies, at times all at once.
