Tugboat Annie - "Apostrophe"

Well, I'll be damned. Tugboat Annie have just released their first new music in over twenty years. (I believe since 2000's The Space Around You.) The beloved Boston indie rockers reunited for a show back in 2019 at Lilypad, and have played a few shows since. But "Apostrophe" seemed to come out of nowhere. If you have a certain fondness for the 1990's Boston music scene, you're going to be thrilled with this one. It has that mid 90's poppy as hell post grunge sound. It's all swirling guitars and fuzz while being impossibly catchy. "Apostrophe" also just sounds epic. It's the grown up, middle aged version of the 90's Boston rock scene without slowing down. This one is pretty thrilling for those of us of a certain age.

You can listen to "Apostrophe" below. The song is available via Bandcamp. For more on Tugboat Annie, check out the band's Facebook.
