Lowell's Tysk Tysk Task continue their musical transformation on their latest single. "Trazodone" is somewhat of a power ballad... at least a power ballad via Tysk Tysk Task. The song is just overloaded with sludge. Despite that, "Trazodone" is a gorgeous song that is focuses on frontwoman Samantha Harsel's vocals. She has a bit of a Lana Del Rey goes folk sound on this one, and it's one of the most compelling parts of the song. Plus, there is a guitar squall in the song that is haunting. This is one of the most hypnotizing songs Tysk Tysk Task have put out to date. And then as the song gets truly going there's some Black Sabbath style evil guitar soloing, or at least if The Melvins were covering Sabbath. If we haven't convinced you to join us on the Tysk Tysk Task bandwagon yet, you're going to want to head out to see one of their many upcoming live shows before they destroy the stage at Boston Calling in May.
