Lady Pills have become one of our favorite artists that skirt the line between indie rock and pop, and the Boston artist has a new single out that perfectly shows off that sound. "Call It (anything but what it is)" is more rooted in the rock side of things than her previous single "Sink the Ship" while still keeping some serious pop hooks intact. It's making me think of Go! era Letters to Cleo, which was much more pop focused than I could have brought myself to admit in 1997. "Call It (anything but what it is)" is still a solid alt-rock track that will burrow itself deep into your subconscious, and you'll be welcoming such a delightful earworm.
You can listen to "Call It (anything but what it is)" below. Renowned in the Roaring Twenties is due out April 4, and is available to pre-order here. For more on Lady Pills, check out the artist on Instagram and Facebook.
