Minna LaFortune is a roots reggae artist who was born in Jamaica and currently resides in Brooklyn. She's a retired professional and is now pursuing her lifetime dream of being a recording artist. She recently released a fantastic anti-violence single. "Cease Fire" is classic reggae, and LaFortune's voice may just be the highlight of the song. It's an inspirational single that reminds me of the classic late 80's anti-violence songs "Self Destruction" and "We're All in the Same Gang," both with messages that are unfortunately still relevant. This is the type of song that's going to have you rediscovering an entire genre of music.
