The Brothers Comatose - "Too Many Places"

The latest single from The Brothers Comatose combines traditional bluegrass with a more modern rock based sound. "Too Many Places" is a bluegrass song. It's planted firmly in the world of folk and Americana. But The Brothers Comatose play it like its a rock song. It has a distinct backbeat, and its being sung in a mid 90's mainstream alt-rock kind of way. Sure, there are many bands out there doing a modern take on bluegrass, but what makes "Too Many Places" stand out is that it's not a progressive version of bluegrass. Instead, it just feels like a song played by a band that loves traditional Americana and rock equally and just plays them both together because that's how they do it.

You can listen to "Too Many Places" below. The song is available as a single now via Swamp Jam Records, and The Brothers Comatose will have a new album out in early 2022. For more on The Brothers Comatose, check out the band's website.
