While Screaming Females have become punk legends in their own right, I would never associate them with ska. Back in 2020 the band was asked to cover a 1980's punk song for a special edition of the comic book series What's the Furthest Place from Here, they chose to cover The Selecter's "On My Radio." Screaming Females' covers are pretty legendary, but sometimes they can be kind of a trainwreck. (And I mean that in a truly good way, and you'll know exactly what I mean if you've ever heard their cover of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off.) What's shocking about "On My Radio" is how great it works. Screaming Females pull off a faithful cover of a ska classic while still sounding just like themselves. This one is a whole lot of fun.
You can listen to Screaming Females take on "On My Radio" below. You can find the song via Don Giovanni Records here. For more on Screaming Females, check out the band's website.
I love this comic series and have read almost every book by this author. But lately I have no time to read as I am preparing to graduate from university. That's why I started using research proposal services to complete my dissertation and coursework. This has simplified my schedule and I am no longer overwhelmed with assignments.
